Modi asks for five more days
Be it the sweat equity controversy or the match-fixing or the money-laundering, the $4 billion sports brand has seen a lot of it in the past one month.
However, the IPL commissioner has pleaded the BCCI to grant him five days to construct his defence.
In fact, the countdown for Modi has already begun and the IPL commissioner is surely making every effort possible to keep the flag of IPL flying high on the global skies. According to sources it has been learned that Modi who has worked for over five years for BCCI has asked for five days to answer all its questions.
Notably, the move comes after a subdued acknowledgement of his no-win position. In fact, it was earlier decided that Modi had abandoned its plans to move to the court to claim that only he had the powers to call a meeting of the IPL governing council.
However, the attitude of the BCCI officials testifies that the board believes that Modi is isolated. The board cancelled the award function that was planned o the Friday night for IPL.
