Foreign institutional investors invest Rs 3,042 cr today
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) today were the net buyers of Rs 3,041.56 crore, showed the data released by the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The gross purchases by FIIs amounted to Rs 5,973.59 crore while Rs 2,932.03 crore was recorded in total sales. This resulted in a net inflow of Rs 3,041.56 crore for the market.
On the other hand, Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) were the net buyers of Rs 322.46 crore today with gross purchases of Rs 1,674.68 crore and gross sales totaling Rs 1,352.22 crore. Following suit, NRI's and proprietors were net buyers of equities worth Rs 28 crore. Brokers too were net purchasers, as they bought equities worth Rs 40.58 crore on behalf of their clients.
The data released by Sebi showed that FIIs were net buyers of Rs 150.80 crore on January 8. While FIIs made gross purchases of Rs 3,268.30 crore, gross sales totaled Rs 3,117.60 crore for the day. The net sales by Mutual funds (MFs) amounted to Rs 157.70 crore on Friday, January 8. Gross purchases of Rs 948.40 crore and sales of Rs 1,106.10 crore were recorded.
