Con Man Madoff Transferred to Butner Prison Medical Facility

Con Man Madoff Transferred to Butner Prison Medical Facility71 year old Bernard Madoff, the con man behind the biggest ever Ponzi scheme in history, has been shifted to the Federal Medical Center in North Carolina's Butner Federal Correctional Complex.

On December 18, Mr. Madoff was shifted from the medium security prison facility to the medical center, said Catherine Elsea, a spokeswoman for the medical center. The reason was transfer, however, has not been disclosed.

But speculations are that the Federal Bureau of Prisons spokeswoman Traci Billingsley has somehow let slip that Madoff is being treated for hypertension and dizziness.

But some reports have hinted that last Friday, Madoff was admitted to the Duke University Hospital with serious injuries, probably from an assault, and while there have been no confirmations of any sorts, it is being said the Madoff had facial fractures, broken ribs and a collapsed lung.

"We have had no patient of that name", Duke University Hospital spokeswoman Debbe Geiger said.

No statement has been shared by any of the centers or facilities involved yet.
