Aurobindo Pharma has got the final nod from the US drug regulator for its anti-allergic syrup in the potency of 1mg/ml.

In a declaration, the company news, "The company has received final approval for Cetirizine Hydrochloride syrup from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)."

Cetirizine Hydrochloride syrup, which comes under the anti- allergic sector, is prescribed for the treatment of symptoms linked with seasonal rhinitis in grownups as well as kids aged over two years.

Aurobindo has a total of 110 ANDA authorizations comprising 82 final and 28 tentative from the US Food and Drug Administration.

On Dec 15, Aurobindo Pharma Australia, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, got authorization from the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) for registration of anti-depression med Citalopram Hydrobroomide in the potencies of 10 mg, 20 mg and 40 mg.

Today, the shares of Aurobindo Pharma closed at Rs 887, up 0.9% on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
