NSW enters into second round
The Australian domestic club, New South Wales (NSW) has booked their berth in the second round of the T20 champions League as NSW has defeated Sussex by 35 runs in the second match of the Group B at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, New Delhi on Sunday.
NSW scored 130 runs for loss of 2 wickets in 20 overs after their skipper S Katich won the toss and elected to bat first. NSW opener P Hughes (14) and D Warner (64) added 35 runs for the first wicket in 7.2 overs. NSW batsmen struggles to pace up their inning and M Henriques scored 51 runs in 33 balls as they managed to put up a decent total on the board.
Sussex batsmen also failed to resist on a slow and spinning track as they finished their inning with just 95 runs on the board for loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Henriques took three wickets for just 23 runs in his four overs. Henriques was declared man of the match for his brilliant all-around performance.
