Dell's new notebook can power up without a cable
Frankfurt - Dell's newest laptop is the world's lightest and flattest 16-inch notebook model, reports the company. But customers might be more interested in the fact that it can recharge without a power cord. The Latitude Z is 20.1 millimetres at its thickest point and weighs two kilograms. And instead of using a power cord, it recharges in its docking station. To save energy when it's not docked, it uses a special sub operating system when running applications like email or calendars. That should let the battery last for several days, reports the manufacturer. The laptop retails starting at 1,500 euros (2,200 dollars). (dpa)
