Snow upsets life in Kashmir, but tourists like it
Srinagar, Feb. 11 : Had American pop singer Jim Reeves been alive, he would have regaled visiting Kashmir today to sing “Snow was falling when love came calling on this lonely heart of mine… Then I said snow flake, my pretty little snowflake…”.
While the heavy snowfall in Kashmir has disrupted the normal life, there are a lot of tourists here who are rejoicing the snowfall that has covered many parts of the valley for the past one week.
Many of them enjoy dancing to their favourite music tunes, as some of them are thrilled to watch snowfall for the first time in person.
"I have come here from Taiwan, which is next to China and I am very excited about the snow because in my country there is no snow. I have never seen so heavy snow. I am very excited. All in my group are enjoying very much this country," said Hung Cha, a Taiwan tourist.
"This is a very beautiful place. Snow is white and it's beautiful. I like it very much. I am feeling very good," said Lee Fung Jo, another tourist from Taiwan.
Tourists’ revelry with friends and families can be easily noticed these days, as many of them are enjoying here by making snowmen or throwing snowballs at each other off and on.
Some of the tourists say that it's a golden opportunity for the tourists witnessing the first snowfall of their life.
"I have come here for the first time during snowfall in Kashmir. The weather is very good. I have enjoyed a lot here. I will tell my friend in Mumbai also that it's a very beautiful place, a must visit place. I am enjoying the snow very much," said Devender, a tourist from Mumbai. (ANI)
