India Finishes At Top In South Asian Shooting Championship
Indian shooters dominated at the 5th South Asian Shooting Championship as India finished at the first position with bagging 21 gold medals out of 24 gold medals.
Indian shooters continued their good show on last day also as they won the gold medal in the women's rifle three positions which was the last event on Thursday.
Tejaswini Sawant bagged gold medal with the score of 571 while Sabrina Sultana of Bangladesh won the silver medal with 570 points.
Sawant, Meena Kumari and Navdeep Kaur of India bagged the silver medal with 1702 points while the gold medal was won by Bangladesh team with the score of 1703 points.
India won highest ever number of medals including 21 gold, 11 silver and 5 bronze medals in the tournament which lasted for a week.
Pakistan won two gold, five silvers and nine bronzes medals in the tournament to finish at second spot while the host Bangladesh finished at third position with one gold medal, six silvers and six bronze medals.
