Tulip Telecom has informed that its consolidated net profit for the year ended March 31, 2009 has witnessed upward trend to Rs 250 crore from Rs187 crore in the year ago.

During the latest year, company's total income also surged to Rs1648 crore from Rs1242 crore in the previous fiscal.

Company's consolidated net profit during the fourth three month period ended March 31, 2009 jumped to Rs106 crore from Rs 66 crore in the same quarter last year.

Total income during the period under review surged to Rs 525 crore from Rs 422 crore in the year ago quarter.

Standalone Results

Company's net profit on standalone basis stood at Rs 249 crore for the year ended March 31, 2009 compared to Rs 187 crore in the previous year.

During the latest fiscal, company's total income went up to Rs1642 crore from Rs 1239 crore in the year ago.

Further, company's board has recommended final dividend of 40% or Rs 4 per share for the year ended March 31, 2009.
