Macca’s website was hacked by internet crooks
London, April 9 : Sir Paul McCartney's website was hacked by some unidentified internet crooks last weekend.
The website was hit by a virus, enabling thieves potentially to steal the bank details of fans who have bought products.
The attack took place while the former `Beatle' was performing on stage in New York with former bandmate Ringo Starr.
"Once your computer is infected with this type of virus no personal information is safe," the Daily Express quoted a spokesman for web security firm Scansafe as saying.
Though the website was quickly fixed, it remains unclear whether or not any members' information was stolen. (ANI)
