Barcelona - A concert of the Irish band U2 sold 90,000 tickets in 54 minutes in Spain on Wednesday, organizers said.

The concert, which is to launch a U2 world tour at Barcelona's Camp Nou football stadium on June 30, sold out faster than any other in the history of Spanish pop and rock.

Some fans of the group headed by singer Bono queued all night for tickets, which could also be purchased online. Prices ranged from 30 to 150 euros (40 to 200 dollars). (dpa)
