Los Angeles - Seven years into their relationship, Hollywood star Harrison Ford popped the question to long-time girlfriend Calista Flockhart, 44, news reports said.

USmagazine. com reported that the Indiana-Jones star proposed to Flockhart, known from the hit TV series Ally McBeal on Valentine's Day.

No wedding date has been set, People magazine said.

Ford was divorced from his wife of 20 years, scriptwriter Melissa Mathison in 2004. The couple had separated four years earlier.

Flockhart and her adopted son Liam moved in with Ford in 2003. She has not been married before.

It would be the third marriage for Ford, who has two children from his first marriage with Mary Marquart (1964 - 1979), and two from his second marriage.

Mathison and the actor met in the 1970s on the set of Apocalypse Now.

Ford was last seen on the big screen in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, the fourth instalment of the hit movie. Flockhart has been a cast member of the TV series Brothers & Sisters since 2006. (dpa)
