Movie Review: Dhoondte Reh Jaoge!
Dhoondte Reh Jaoge, which released this Friday, is really a terrible movie.
The film, which stars Paresh Rawal, Soha Ali Khan, Sonu Sood, Kunal Khemu, and Johnny Lever, is inspired heavily by the Hollywood movie.
Sharmila Tagore’s talented daughter Soha has already showed her talent in films like ‘Rang De Basanti’ and ‘Mumbai Meri Jaan’. But the question arises in ons’e mind that what’s she signing dreadful films including her last film ‘Dil Kabbadi’ and ‘Dhoondte Reh Jaoge’.
The story of the film ‘Dhoondhte Reh Jaoge’ goes like this:
The film focuses on film maker Raj Chopra (Paresh Rawal), who always wishes to make a film.
After giving 10 box office duds, the producer now has no actor to work with him.
But Anand Pawar (Kunal Khemu), who is a chartered accountant, helps him in finding a solution to his problem.
They decided to raise 100 crore from different financers and make the movie in just 5 crore. They decide to produce a film that will never work, with the intention that they don't have to pay back the loan to the investors. They want to become instant millionaires in the shortest time possible!
They divide the remaining sum among themselves.
To make a flop movie, they hire the nastiest writer Parvez Asharraf (Johnny Lever) in the film line. They also rope in many other strange and mad actors, director, music directors for the movie.
They sign up two beggars, who sing in trains, to compile the music, plus sing in the film. After that, they cast a struggling actress Neha Chattopadhayay (Soha) and a flop actor Aryan Kapoor (Sonu Sood).
They film named ‘Solay se L'agaan Tak’ is a spoof of record-breaking movies produced between Sholay and Lagaan.
While the spoofs on Sholay, D.D.L.J, Gaddar and Lagaan may have been amusing, Dhoondhte is boring, dim and mind-numbing.
Sonu Sood has 11 avatars in the movie. That may have been interesting too, except that he does an awful job.
Paresh Rawal has done incredible films in past. And that's why one can't help but question why he signed up Dhoondhte that totally has nothing upto his standard.
The other brilliant actor Kunal Khemu, who was appreciated for his outstanding performances in Zakhm to Dhol, should re-learn a few acting tips from his earlier films.
