$1k chance to hear Bush speak Down Under
Sydney, Feb 22 : Celebrity agent Max Markson is planning to bring former US president George Bush to Australia and charge 1000-dollar-a head to hear him talk.
"I was on a cruise in the Caribbean the day after President [Barack] Obama was sworn in and I received an email asking if I could arrange for president Bush to come out," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Markson, as saying.
Markson had previously organised speaking trips for Bush''s father and Bill Clinton after their terms as US president.
"I have already had the 41st and 42nd presidents, so I think it is right I should also get number 43 out here," he said.
The agent said he's confident Aussies would shell out the money to see Bush talking, because he sat in the Oval Office during one of the most difficult times in U. S. history.
"He has presided over one of the most difficult times the world has seen since World War II," Markson said.
Markson also said he'd like for former U. S. secretary of state Condoleezza Rice to join Bush, possibly further down the road.
"I could arrange for them to come as a package, but I think Condoleezza is a star in her own right," Markson said. (ANI)
