Hudson’s Super Bowl performance ‘wasn’t live’

Hudson’s Super Bowl performance ‘wasn’t live’Chicago, Feb 4: It has emerged that American singer Jennifer Hudson's rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the Super Bowl involved lip-syncing.

Rickey Minor, who is the pregame show's producer, said that Hudson had used vocal tracks that she had submitted a week before the game on February 1.

"That''s the right way to do it," Chicago Sun-Times quoted Minor as saying.

"There''s too many variables to go live. I would never recommend any artist go live because the slightest glitch would devastate the performance," he added.

However it was not clear if Hudson sang along with the recording or merely lip-synced, though she did receive universal acclaim for it.
