Thai shares tumble 2.98 per cent in last-minute sell-off
Bangkok - Thai shares tumbled 2.98 per cent in value Thursday, pushed down by heavy selling in the last half hour of trading, analysts said.
The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) index ended at 435.00, down 13.35 points or 2.98 per cent.
The bourse tumbled about six points in the last 30 minutes of trading.
"I don't know what happened today," admitted Mongkol Phuangpaeta, an analyst at Adkionson Securities. "Investors may still be worried about the US economy or internal political instability," he speculated. (dpa)
