Mallya Has Not Yet Finalized Rahul Dravid As The Skipper For RCB
Vijay Mallya, owner of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has maintained that he has not yet finalized Rahul Dravid as the skipper of the Indian Premier League team.
Commenting over the media report that Dravid has been retained as captain of the team, Mallya said, "Who said so? After all, I am the boss of the team. I will decide who will be the captain."
Mallya said that before taking a final call on this issue, he would hold talks with the former Indian skipper. Speaking on this, Mallya said, “I'm going to talk to Rahul in this regard. He is a mature, educated and an intelligent man.”
It may be here recalled that the Bangalore team was one of the worst performer in the first edition of the IPL.
After its poor performance, owner Mallya even didn't conceal his frustration at the composition of the team.
However, Mallya also ruled out any wholesale changes but said he would do everything to ensure a better performance. "You would not see too many changes but I'm going to do whatever it takes so that the side becomes stronger than before," said Mallya.
Mallya still feel that he was completely ignored by Dravid and former team CEO Charu Sharma.
