New research and development facility opened in New York by TelephonicsAccording to the media reports, Telephonics has opened a new research and development facility in New York to strengthen its presence in the defense and civil air traffic management market.

Its Electronic Systems Division is now operating at its new 100,000-square-foot installation, says U. S. company and information, communication and sensor system solutions developer Telephonics.

Don Pastor, Telephonics Electronic Systems Division president, said in a statement, "The new facility is a commitment to our customers that we will continue to invest in our products and people in order to provide them with the most advanced and reliable products in a timely manner."

It was further reported that the new facility, in Huntington, N. Y., includes Telephonics' NextGen Air Traffic Management technologies and the Systems Integration Labs.

The facility expands the company's research capabilities for air traffic management in a move to address Homeland Security Department requirements among others, Telephonics said in a news release. (With Inputs from Agencies)
