New Imhalal search engine to allow only halal content

New Imhalal search engine to allow only halal content Imhalal.Com is a new Islamic search engine, introduced by a 20 year old student, Reza Sardeha. The unique thing about the search engine is that it only allows ‘halal’ contents to get searched.

In Islam, 'halal' means allowed and ‘haram’ means forbidden things.

Accordingly, Imhalal.com lets user to search only those things, which are halal in Islam and if the search engine encounters any of the haram things, it will display a warning message.

Reza Sardeha, who is a business management student, said that the new search engine has an objective that “Ignorance leads to chaos”.

According to Sardeha, his only motive to develop such an engine is to provide a filth free environment for the users, who unintentionally come across the adult content over the internet while surfing.

The Imhalal search engine not only blocks the haram content but also rate it on a scale of 1 to 3. If a search item gets a haram rating of 1 or 2, it can still be searched after a warning message. But any item, which gets a 3 rating, could not be searched further.

The website is designed to function as a warning system to explicit content, child protection system and to let Muslims and or Non-Muslims know what is ‘haram’ in Islam.

The website has claimed to get overwhelming response from the users. It has reported that more than five lakh internet surfers had used the engine within the first two weeks of its launch.
