Nepali Congress to start awareness campaign
Kathmandu, Oct 19: Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to launch nationwide national awareness campaign from October 25.
According to Nepali Congress leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula, Party President Girija Prasad Koirala will start the campaign at Biratnagar
Sitaula also said that the awareness campaign would be "litmus test" for the party on whether the people are in favor of Nepali Congress.
The Central Working Committee meeting of the Nepali Congress held last August had decided to launch a two-month long campaign to create public awareness and put the pressure on the Constituent Assembly (CA) to draft a new Constitution on time for institutionalization of lasting peace and parliamentary democracy.
Meanwhile, a 501-member program organizing committee has been formed under the convenorship of Morang NC President Amrit Aryal to carry out door-to-door campaign to make the program a success, Kantipur reported. (ANI)
