Nawaz seeks national consensus against terrorism
Lahore, Apr. 7: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif has said that terror acts were causing instability in the country, and has sought a national consensus on the issue.
According to a private TV channel, Nawaz told French Ambassador to Pakistan, Daniel Jouanneau, in Raiwind that Pakistan was still in the process of building a consensus on the war on terror.
“The war against terrorism will continue in line with national interests,” the Daily Times quoted him, as saying.
Sharif also criticized former US president George Bush for his policies by saying that they had caused chaos across the world.
Jouanneau, however, said a strong and stable Pakistan would guarantee peace not only in the region, but also in the entire world. (ANI)
