Maoist Government will prevail, claims Prachnada

Maoist Government will prevail, claims PrachnadaKathmandu, Feb 10 : Nepal Prime Minister Prachanda has claimed that no attempt to bring down the Maoist-led government will succeed.

Addressing a programme here on Monday Prachnada said that the leadership of the government will not change until a new constitution is drafted.

Prachanda said he would continue as the people have given the party mandate to write the statute through the Constituent Assembly (CA) election.

He further said that there is a risk of division and communalism from a handful of elements. Only unity among the parties he added, can fight those elements.

"People who were against federalism and civil rights are now in favour of ''inter-racialism''. "Such group poses a risk to nationality," he added.

His remark came a day after Nepali Congress President Girija Prasad Koirala had claimed that people had started looking for alternatives as Prime Minister Prachanda had failed to take other parties into confidence.

Koirala also slammed the Maoist government for introducing ordinance after ordinance, adding that this would turn the country into a totalitarian state.

Commenting on the possibility of formation of a new government, he said his party would support whichever party that works in tandem with others and takes the peace process to a logical conclusion, Kantipur reported. (ANI)
