Malaysians urged not to visit Pakistan

Kuala Lumpur, Dec.29: Malaysians have advised to postpone their intended visit to Pakistan in the wake of Benazir Bhutto’s assassination.

The Star quoted the acting Malaysian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Roseli Abdul, as saying that the situation in Pakistan was tense and expected it to continue for the next two to three days.

Malaysians in Pakistan have also been advised to be careful and to avoid visits to crowded public places.

Malaysia Airlines’ thrice-weekly flights between here and Karachi are operating as usual.

The airline is, however, monitoring the situation and working closely with Pakistan authorities to ensure continued smooth flight operations. (ANI)
