Apple Inc. has reduced the price of its Mac Development program to $99. The free version of the program is also available.

Apple has taken cue from the low prices of iPhone Developer. The price of the developer was reduced to $99 per annum and it turned out to be a great success.

At $99, the prices have already touched their lowest for the Mac Development Program. The company wants that more and more people buy it thus substantially increasing its sales.

The program offers access to Mac OS X prereleases, technical documentation, Xcode 3 and various other tools. In addition to these features, the program also provides some of the latest inclusions like development of videos, member-only developer forums and two technical code-level support incidents et al.

Above all these, Apple is also offering to give the users additional support incidents as part of the package.

Bundles of two will cost the consumer $99 while the one with five will be charged $249. But the company has also announced that over this price there would be no more discounting done.

The program has already been re-launched with a different brand name.
