LOGCAP III services to continue by KRP
Official reports have revealed that the U. S. Army selected KBR to continue its services under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program III contract vehicle in the Iraqi military theater.
It was announced by the Army in April that protests on the $150 billion next-generation LOGCAP IV vehicle had been settled, which moved the program forward with contractors KBR, DynCorp and Fluor. It was further noted by the report that the Basic Life Support services section of LOGCAP IV was canceled resulting in an authorization for KBR to continue its LOGCAP III services.
Mark Williams, KBR Infrastructure, Government and Power president, said in a statement, "The decision to continue with KBR on LOGCAP III was based on input from theater commanders, the anticipated cost of the transition and contractor performance."
According to the report, under the deal KBR will continue it LOGCAP III work providing U. S. bases in Iraq with mission critical life services to support the ongoing operations in the country. (With Inputs from Agencies)
