Lindsay Lohan Hires OJ Simpson’s Lawyer Of 1994 Murder Trial
Lindsay Lohan is trying hard to avoid serving the jail term but she is also not in the mood to pay the fees for a new lawyer. Shawn Chapman Holley, the original lawyer of Lohan resigned following the sentencing by Judge Marsha Revel. Now, the actress has hired another attorney named Robert Shapiro, who is renowned for handling the case of O. J. Simpson during his 1994 murder case.
It is reported that renowned defense attorney Robert Shapiro has agreed to take up the case of the troubled Hollywood actress. He represented the case of Simpson, which is considered to be one of the most controversial criminal trials in history of the US in 1994.
The 24-year old Lohan is not in a position to pay for any new attorney now because of her continuously rising legal fees and decreasing work offers in the industry.
According to a source, "Lindsay expects any new lawyer should fight her case without any fee as she had already paid for the best. She does not possess enough money to pay for the new lawyer now".
The new attorney Shapiro does not plan to appeal the 90-day jail sentence of Lohan. He will try to convince the judge to keep the Hollywood star in a rehabilitation facility and either abolish or minimize her jail time.
In 2005, a MDMA drug overdose took the life of Shapiro's son, Brent. The lawyer is said to have planned a specific idea for the actress and he wants Lohan to stay in a live-in rehab facility with which he is reportedly involved.
On July 20, Lindsay must surrender herself to start serving 90-days jail term, which will be followed by a 90-day drug rehabilitation program.
