Lenovo launches three new tablets in India
Chinese electronics manufacturer, Lenovo has announced the launch of three new tablet computers in the Indian market.
The company is planning to introduce the products and platforms creating a eco-system for its customers in the coming months. The company has released its IdeaPad Tablet K1 and ThinkPad Tablet for business customers in India and will soon release its IdeaPad Tablet A1 in the country.
The company's tablets will be powered by Android 3.1 Honeycomb and run on Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processors. Lenovo is claiming that the tablets have low power consumption and thus their battery lasts longer allowing customers on the move to use the tablet for extended time without charge.
The tablets will come with 40 preloaded apps ad the users will be able to access Lenovo App Shop and apps in the Android Market.
The IdeaPad Tablet K1 and ThinkPad Tablet tablets will be availalbe in 16GB, 32 GB and 64GB models and will come with a starting price of Rs 29,500. IdeaPad A1 will come in 16 GB model only at Rs14,990.
Lenovo India has increased its market share from 7.2 per cent in the first quarter of 2010 to 10 per cent in the first quarter this year.
