Laceration hazard make Conair BabylissPro to recall hair dryers
It has been reported that the U. S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of BabylissPro compact hair dryers due to a laceration hazard.
According to the reports, about 291,000 hair dryers were imported from China by Conair Corp. of East Windsor, N. J., and sold nationwide from January 2006 through April 2010 for about $25.
It was also noted by the reports that the handheld dryers came in five styles: Mighty Mini, Nano Titanium, Porcelain Ceramic, Tourmaline and Tourmaline Titanium.
Conair has received 16 reports of the fan breaking, which can cause the plastic shell to shatter, creating a possible laceration hazard, the commission said.
It was advised to consumers to stop using the recalled hair dryers and contact the Conair company for a free replacement. (With Inputs from Agencies)
