Ace Bollywood filmmaker Nagesh Kukunoor is ready with his new flick ‘Aashayein,’ which will hit Indian theatres on June 20. The film is all about hope and following your dreams.

Starring the hot and tough John Abraham, newcomer Sonal Sehga and Chak De India’s Anahita Nair, the first look of Aashayein was unveiled on Tuesday at Vie Lounge in Juhu, in the Western suburb of Mumbai.

Since John could not make it to the function as he is presently shooting for Karan Johar’s production, Dostana in Miami, but his parents filled in for him.

The film cast also includes Vikram Inamdar, Sonali Sachdev, Farida Jalal and Girish Karnad. Kukunoor will also have a cameo appearance.

Kukunoor said, “Especially with this film it was very critical apart from the cinematic experience, that when you leave you leave with those three words — live life now.”

Sonal said, “Its not a preachy film, it just reminds us about something which we so forget. As we are caught up with so much in our day to day business that we forget to enjoy little moments in life.”

Veteran actress Farida Jalal who for a change is not playing a mother, is really happy with her part in the film

“When you’re doing a role like that which is not a role of a mother's, you're mouthing different lines, you’re using different set of expressions and it makes a lot of difference as an actor,” told Farida Jalal.
