Koutons Retail India, the apparel manufacturer and retailer, has registered a growth of 0.75% in its net profit rose, which marginally rose to Rs 35.82 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2009 against a net profit of Rs 35.55 crore in the same quarter ended March 2008.

Further, the company's total income also grew to Rs 378.90 crore for the quarter ended March 2009, as against Rs 371.90 crore for the same quarter last year.

For 2008-09 fiscal, the company posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 79.53 crore, up 15.01 per cent from Rs 69.15 crore in the same period previous year.

In addition, the company also witnessed a surge of 33% in its total Income, which increased from Rs 797.69 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 to Rs 1063.13 crore for the year ended March 31, 2009.

The scrip of the company closed today at Rs 421, up 3% compared to previous close of Rs 407.
