Kids-with-brain-injuriesThe recent finding in case of kids with brain injuries have reported of having difficulty in story-telling skills even though they possess the ability that match up with others.

Ozlem Ece Demir, a researcher at the University of Chicago and lead author of the case stated: "Our findings suggest that there may be limitations to the remarkable flexibility for language functions displayed by children with brain injuries."

It was added that out of 1 in 4,000 infants suffer from brain injury termed as pre- or perinatal brain lesions, supposedly due to stroke, that have factors involving both mothers and babies. With respect to the finding of the study, the team did a comparison of 11 children with brain injuries aged six.

The children were asked to narrate a story after a start such as, "Once there was a little boy named Alan who had many different kinds of toys." They were constantly pushed in with questions such as "anything else?" until they were up with their tale.

The study listed out that, kids with brain injuries produced shorter, less complex stories when compared to other children.
