KEC International wins four new order worth Rs 741 crore

KEC International wins four new order worth Rs 741 crore KEC International (KEC), a global leader in the power transmission EPC business, has won four orders totaling to Rs 471 crore in the domestic market.

The company secured the first two order from North East Transmission Co Ltd. (a Joint Venture of ONGC, IL&FS and Govt. of Tripura) are for supply of towers, hardware, line materials.

The scope of work involves construction of 400 kV D/C Khelerihat - Byrnihat Transmission line in Meghalaya and 400 kV D/C Byrnihat - Bongaigaon Transmission line in the state of Assam.

Both the orders are scheduled to be completed by February 2010.

Further, the company bagged next two orders from West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (WBSETCL) are for supply of towers, line materials and construction of 400 S/C kV transmission lines associated with Kolaghat TPS or turnkey basis. The project is scheduled to complete in 24 months.

Beside this, the company will construct 220 kV D/C transmission lines form Kharagpur 400 kV substation to Midnapore 220/132 kV substation and 220 kV D/C transmission lines from 400 kV Subhasgram (PGCIL) substation to Saltala on turnkey basis.

The contract will be completed in next 18 months.
