Kashmir – A Favored Bollywood Destination!
After a long gap, Bollywood seems to be returning to its most-favored place, Kashmir.
The charming beauty of the Kashmir valley is likely to once again feature in Indian cinema, as prominently as they did earlier.
A number of directors and producers have already approached the state government for shooting in the valley.
Amongst the four films that are expected to be shot here this summer, is Shatrughan Sinha’s son - Luv Sinha's debut film titled "Sadiyaan", for which the political personality and yesteryear actor is in Kashmir to encourage his son.
The film revolves around a cross border love story and stars debutante Farzina Wazir who hails from the valley.
Shatrughan Sinha said, “So called Bollywood was fond of this place. Infact, Kashmir still remains the first and the best showers for all of us. If you ask me, very proudly I say that given a chance that Kashmir is the best and Kashmir is the first showers.”
However, he suggested further upgradation in the tourism-related infrastructure in the valley.
"I would suggest the government provide facilities to film units which will earn it revenue and boost tourism also,” he said.
Asked about the view that the situation was not normal in Kashmir, he said "Kashmir is as safe as any other part of the world."
