On Wednesday, former Lakers and UCLA center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was temporarily hospitalized again, after undergoing a quadruple coronary-bypass surgery just a couple of weeks ago.

According to the hospital, Abdul-Jabbar, 68, contacted his doctors on Wednesday morning, and complained of experiencing dizziness. Doctors advised him to go to the emergency department at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.

Abdul-Jabbar's business manager said that it was just a precaution and the NBA's career scoring leader is doing fine.

Deborah Morales said that the 68-year-old Abdul-Jabbar, on Wednesday experienced a heart irregularity of some kind and was examined by doctors at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. She mentioned that he didn't have any chest pain.

Morales added that the Hall of Famer underwent examination and was released after about an hour. She mentioned that he is feeling fine now and is resting comfortably at home.

According to a statement from UCLA, Abdul-Jabbar was evaluated by his surgeon and cardiologist. After a battery of tests, doctors found no complications, and so, Abdul-Jabbar was discharged from the emergency department and was back home continuing his recovery.

Abdul-Jabbar's surgeon, Dr. Richard Shemin, said that it is very common for the patients to experience some symptoms that require ruling out serious problems after major heart surgery. Shemin added that Abdul-Jabbar did the right thing by contacting his doctors.

Abdul-Jabbar went through a quadruple bypass on April 16.

On early Wednesday morning, before the episode, Abdul-Jabbar tweeted, "Just want to let everyone know I'm doing fine and feeling better every day. Doing my rehab w/the same mental commitment I had as a pro".

The former UCLA star had scored 38,387 points in 20 seasons along with the Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers.
