Jeev slumps to tied 36th in second round of WGC

Jeev Milka SinghIndian star golfer Jeev Milka Singh carded a poor back-nine in the second round as he slipped to tied 36th position with one-over 71 on the second day of the WGC- Bridgestone Invitational Akron, Ohio on Saturday.

The highest ranked Asian golfer, Jeev was out of the action from last three weeks due to a rib injury. Jeev has a total of one-over 141 as he had scored even-par 70 in the first round yesterday at the Firestone Country Club.

Jeev sank triple-bogey on the 16th hole after scoring five par. Jeev came back with a birdie on the 17th hole but he dropped a stroke on the 18th hole to card three-over. Jeev performed well on the front-nine as compared to back-nine. He sank two birdies on the first and fifth hole without dropping any bogey in the front-nine.

Meanwhile, Irishman Padraig Harrington retained the top position with one-stroke lead after carding 69 in the second round with a total of seven-under 133. South African Tim Clark (68) occupied the second spot.
