Patna, Nov 1 : The ruling Janata Dal (United) MLA, Anant Singh, and his supporters today attacked journalists when they went to his house for taking his reaction to a news report.

The journalists beaten up by Anant, his supporters and bodyguards included Prakash Singh of NDTV and Ajay Kumar of Asian News International (ANI).

The cameras of both reporters were also damaged, while Prakash’s car keys were snatched by the attackers.

The two journalists were assaulted by the MLA after a news report on NDTV India showed recovery of women’s body in Patel Nagar, Patna.

Anant Singh, a JD-U MLA from Mokama and close aide of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, already has 21 criminal cases pending against him. (ANI)
