Its dividend time at the bourses

While the shareholders have faced a lot of heat in the slowdown period when it sailed with various companies in its bad times, but the companies are even giving it back to the shareholder for their support in the bad times.

With shareholders of two-wheeler major Hero Honda has already had their share of excitement in the company’s silver jubilee celebrations, the two-wheeler major gave a 55% dividend to the shareholders.

Following the trend, multi-business conglomerate ITC recently rewarded its shareholders with a 100% dividend on completing 100 years.

According to the recently released media reports, 37 companies have completed or will soon complete 25, 50, 75 or 100 years of their operations in corporate India and are expected to roll out dividends for the Indian consumer.

Shailesh Haribhakti, managing partner, Haribhakti & Co said that one of the major demands of shareholders in AGMs is of higher dividends and as the companies aren't able to fulfill it all the time, it take the route of the milestone years to keep the investors happy. Clearly, there will be dividends flowing in times to come at the bourses.
