An iPhone application featuring nude teenage girl spotted in Apple’s App Store

The photo of fifteen-year-old nude girl featured in an iPhone application, approved by Apple has got the App Store operator under fire. The iPhone application featuring the nude teenage girl was reported by Wired.com.

Apple, which has often been criticized for its criteria of approving applications for its App Store, is recently facing criticism for its inability to protect its App Store from child pornographic content.

The nude photo of fifteen-year-old girl showing her naked boobs and slipped down panty, snapping the photo of her reflection in a mirror was spotted in the free app BeautyMeter, approved by Apple for its App Store.

BeautyMeter allows users to upload their photos to have them rated by other iPhone users. The photos are rated by giving star-ratings for body parts and clothing.

Apple has removed the application from its App Store, but BeautyMeter has certainly exposed the flaws in Apple’s criteria of selecting applications for its App Store.
