Injured Ishant to miss first one-dayer
Since Ishant Sharma has suffered an ankle injury and has been advised to rest for five days, it seems that the man would definitely miss the first ODI against England, to be played in Rajkot on November 14, and could well sit out the second game too.
Through a release, N Srinivasan, secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, informed, "Ishant Sharma has got a mild ankle sprain and he has been advised rest for five days. He is undergoing his rehabilitation at present and is making good progress. Hence he would not be available for the first ODI against England."
On 17th November, the second ODI is to be played in Indore. It is quite clear that if Ishant takes rest for five days, as advised by specialists, then he will definitely not have sufficient bowling and training before the second game.
A replacement for Ishant was not named by the BCCI, and instead they left the the team to select its seam bowlers from Zaheer Khan, Munaf Patel and RP Singh.
