Infosys to hire fresh graduates in 2010Country's leading technology firm, Infosys Technologies has announced to start fresh recruitment processes very soon, indicating sound financial health of the IT major and revival of demand in the information technology sector.

The firm will hold joint campus recruitments next year, raising a ray of hope for young professionals under going undue pressure due to slump in job market. Infosys did not visit campus this year, apparently, under the impact of global slowdown.

Company's CEO and Managing Director, S Gopalakrishnan has said that economy is on recovery path, though at lower pace, due to gradual improvement in global demand. He hoped better time for economy in the second quarter to start fresh recruitments and expansions next year.

Mr. Gopalakrishnan hoped revival of demand across IT and ITES industry will pick up growth rate by mid next year. He ruled out any immediate expansion plans by Infosys in two tier cities in Andhra Pradesh.

The Infosys Chief added, "The current scenario will have an impact on those graduating in 2010, and possibly 2011. They will see a challenge. This would mean that while they wait for placement, students would have to equip themselves with skills that the IT industry would find useful."
