New Delhi, Jan 30 : External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee has urged Pakistan to honour its own deadline to make public the report of a preliminary investigation prepared on the basis of information provided by New Delhi regarding Mumbai attacks last November.

Talking to reporters here on Thursday, Mukherjee said India had not given any deadline, but it is expected of Pakistan to honour its own deadline.

"They fix the deadlines. We did not give them any deadline. And, we see that they should comply with it," he added.

India had earlier this month said the Mumbai attacks must have had support from some of Pakistan''s official agencies. Pakistan rejected the accusation and said such charges jeopardized chances of cooperation against terrorism.

Tensions have run high between the two neighbours since the attack that India has blamed on the Pakistani militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

India says Pakistan should act against the LeT and other militant groups "in its own interest" and India''s.

Pakistan has detained scores of the LeT and an affiliated Islamic charity, the Jamaat-ud-Dawa but India is demanding it dismantle what it calls the "infrastructure of terrorism" on its soil. (ANI)
