India has won the First Twenty20 match of its series against Australia. India won by 7 wickets. There were still 11 balls remaining. The World Champions in Twenty20 have proved that their team is very good in playing fast cricket.

Indian team will be praised by Indian Cricket fans for a great performance in the first match. Indian team could not play well in the last series against Australia.

Gautam Gambhir made 63 in 52 balls with 6 boundaries and one sixer. RV Uthappa made 35 in 26 balls. Yuvraj Singh lead Indian team towards win. Yuvraj Singh made 31 runs in just 25 deliveries. Captain MS Dhoni came towards the end of innings and Team India was already in a great form.

Australia won the toss and elected to bat. But the day was not very good for Australians. Ricky Ponting made 76 runs, but Australia failed to set a hard total for team India to chase.
