India has become the most ODI playing nationThe India-Sri Lanka match was the 742nd One-Day International match for India. By this, India has now at the top of list of One-Day International playing nations. It has played the most number of matches in the history of ODI's.

Earlier Australia has occupied the top position with 741 matches. This has been another milestone for Team India to surpass Australia's record of playing the most number of ODI's.

In this match, India has managed to register a comprehensive victory over the Sri Lanka by a spectacular knock by Rohit Sharma and an impressive 81 by Virat Kohli. In the run chase of 242 in fifty over, Rohit Sharma has made his second consecutive ODI hundred in this series. This was his second ODI in his 44th match. He has made 114 in the previous game against Zimbabwe and 101 in this match.

Earlier, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, VVS Laxman and Yuvraj Singh hold the record of two centuries in two consecutive ODI's.

Now Sharma has a chance to equal the world record Zaheer Abbas, Saeed Anwar, Herschelle Gibbs and AB de Villiers for three consecutive hundreds in the next match.
