Hyundai’s Kona Electric N Line Model boasts enhanced sportiness
South Korean automaker Hyundai Motor Company is all set to redefine the EV driving experience by launching its upcoming 2024 Kona Electric N Line, a high-performance upgrade that perfectly blends sportiness with eco-conscious design. The latest iteration of the Hyundai Kona Electric, bejeweled with the prestigious Hyundai N Line badge, showcases a new aesthetic that is larger, bolder and superior than that of its predecessor.
The all-electric marvel isn’t merely an adaptation from internal combustion engine (ICE) to electric; instead, it is an EV from its inception. This strategic decision hints at the possibility that the new model could be exclusively electric, aligning with Hyundai's commitment to electrify its vehicle lineup.
Reports circulating within the automotive sphere suggest that Soth Korean car brand is actively developing a sportier as well as high-performance Kona Electric N Line model. The first glimpses of this electric model surfaced in the month of August during the brand’s testing phase, signaling the expansion of the N Line EV lineup, following the IONIQ 5 N and IONIQ 6 N.
Albert Biermann, technical advisor at Hyundai, emphasized that the Korean auto brand intends to boost adoption of EVs by offering smaller and more affordable electric alternatives. Speaking on the topic, Biermann explained, “We have to come down with something smaller and more affordable. Otherwise, we leave our customers in the dark.”
The recent sighting of the new EV provides a closer look at its features, including pixelated seamless horizon lamp running across the front that sets the tone for a futuristic design. The N Line badges proudly displayed on the front and handle imply the sportier variant, while a unique pixel design distinguishes the tail light on the rear.
Inside, N Line badges grace the seats also, showcasing the blend of comfort and performance. With a starting price tag of $32,675 in the U.S., the 2024 Kona Electric is available in two battery options: a standard 48 kWh and a larger 64.8 kWh. The former provides an estimated range of 200 miles, while the latter extends the range to 261 miles. While specific powertrain details for the vehicle are yet to be released, the brand assures that significant differences lie in the heart of this high-performance EV.
As Hyundai electrifies the road with the 2024 Kona Electric N Line at comparatively pocket-friendly price, it not only meets the evolving demands of EV buyers but also reinforces the brand’s commitment to delivering innovative and affordable electric alternatives.
