HTC & Idea Cellular Launch ‘Touch Pro’ and ‘Touch Viva’ Smartphones In Indian MarketHTC, a global leader in mobile phones and IDEA Cellular, India’s major telecom services provider, have jointly launched two new smartphones, named HTC Touch Pro and HTC Touch Viva in the Indian market.

The phones were launched at an event held at Mumbai, India.

Aimed at business customers, the HTC Touch Pro T7276 is a mixture of rich functionalities and better technologies.

On the other hand, the HTC Touch T2223, which is aimed at Indian youth, offers smart technology with just one-handed operation.

Powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 platform, both HTC Touch Pro and Viva Phones come with cutting-edge innovation, design and entertainment capabilities.

Both the smartphones feature TouchFLO 3D technology, which offers a new customizable mobile web browser that let users to view and navigate videos, photos and music songs easily, similarly as viewed on PC.

Moreover, this interface provides quick access to features including messaging, calendar appointments or making calls through just a tip of their finger.

HTC Touch Pro smartphone also has a five-row QWERTY keyboard, which makes typing easier and faster. It also sports a 2.8 inch display and a 3.2 mega pixel camera with flashlight and optical auto-focus lens, and auto sensor screen pivoting. The battery life offers talk time up to 240 minutes and a stand by time up to 120 hours.

Other exciting features of HTC Touch Pro smartphone includes a built-in TV out functionality, access to Microsoft Office document, an internal GPS antenna, 512 MB ROM, 256 MB RAM, Qualcomm MSM7201A processor, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, Wi-Fi connectivity with HTC ExtUSB and FM radio with RDS. It supports MP3, AAC, AAC+, WMA, WAV and AMR-NB audio file formats.

On the other hand, HTC Touch Viva, which comes equipped with a sharp 2.8-inch QVGA screen, is a reasonably priced phone with exciting features.

The phone features a 2 mega pixel camera for taking high-quality pics and record videos. It also has a built-in speaker and microphone. Moreover the battery life of Viva lets users to talk up to 480 minutes and offers stand by time up to 270 hours.

Other features of the phone (T2223) includes 4-way navigational control, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, HTC ExtUSB, Bluetooh with A2DP, 256 MB ROM, 128 MB RAM. Powered by TI’s OMAP 850 processor, the smartphone is compatible with an range of audio files including AAC, AAC+eAAC+, AMR-NB, AMR-WB, QCP, MP3, WMA and WAV formats.

The HTC Touch Pro and HTC Touch Viva smartphones have hit the Indian market for a suggested price of Rs. 34,900 and Rs. 16,490, respectively.
