New Delhi, Dec 16 : Displeased over thousands of students failing to write the Common Admission Test (CAT) on account of technical problems, the Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry has today called for a meeting of all IIM directors to discuss the issue and express its concerns.
A HRD ministry official disclosed that Higher Education Secretary Vibha Puri Das would chair the meeting of IIM directors.
Union HRD Minister Kapil Sibal has already expressed annoyance over problems faced by the students during the online computerised test.
The matter was also put up in Parliament with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) members lashing out at the Central Government for such a failure.
American firm Prometric had conducted the test for over 11 days in which around 2.41 lakh students were supposed to appear.
However, due to the virus attacks during the online test, all candidates could not successfully complete the test.
The Directors of the prestigious IIMs met in Mumbai on Tuesday to analyse the entire computerised test and the reason for its failure.
