Hong Kong shares bounce back 3.75 per cent amid bargain hunting
Hong Kong - Hong Kong shares out-performed stock markets around the region Monday by rebounding 3.75 per cent as bargain-hunters moved in.
The blue-chip Hang Seng Index rose by 475.93 points to end the day at 13,175.1, reversing a 2.5 per cent loss on Friday. Turnover was 39.5 billion Hong Kong dollars (5.09 billion US dollars).
Friday's rebound was triggered by bargain hunters moving in after the index slipped below the 12,700 level in a poor week's trading ending Friday. (dpa)
