Los Angeles - Actress Cameron Diaz, 36, is now the proud owner of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The recipient of the 2,386th star set in the concrete of the pavement said she had "the best job in the world."

"It will be cool to be under people's feet," the actress said in front of hundreds of fans on Monday.

Famous friends including Vanilla Sky co-star Tom Cruise, his wife Katie Holmes and director Nick Cassavetes also attended the ceremony.

Diaz made her film debut alongside Jim Carrey in 1994's The Mask. She is due on cinema screens later this year in Cassavetes' movie My Sister's Keeper. (dpa)
