What seems to be shocking trend in the iPhone market is the growing number of fraud cases of insurance. It is a trend observed by the Supercover Insurance - after a launch of new model, insurance claim soars up to 50%. It has been seen that four out of ten are suspicious cases and gets rejected.

Carmi Korine says, "The issue appears to be that most iPhone owners can only go for so long realizing that they're a generation behind the latest must-have spec before they resort to extreme measures"

It is true that iPhone unlike other phones is difficult to damage. Still people bring their phones and claim for insurance. It is pretty evident that the phone has been tampered with giving it manual blows. They have to face rejection for this foolish act.

About a quarter of these wary claims are sent back by Supercover, so anybody considering it for the inevitable iPhone 4G, should probably consider whether the chance of a free upgrade is worth the risk of no phone at all.
