Hailstorm causes widespread destruction in West Bengal districtDinajpur (West Bengal) Apr 3: A high intensity hailstorm hit West Bengal’s Dinajpur Distict, injuring three persons, and damaging 100 huts. Livestocks were also killed.

The storm, which lasted for two days and nights, blew away roofs of several hundred huts.

The storm left scars across a nine km radius.

The Regional Met Office in Jalpaiguri said the hailstorm was caused by a cloud formation over Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Gangetic Bengal. (ANI)
